The calendar has turned to August and that means the OSSAA Fall baseball season is now in full swing.

All teams are now open to start their seasons this week and that means we have an almost full slate of games this week.

One of the things we like to do at SSBR is highlight 5 games during the week that we think should have a special “focus” on them. They could be matchups of top teams in the same class, rivalries, or even teams that may not get the coverage other programs do.

One caveat for a game to be selected for a game of the week: it cannot be part of a tournament or a festival.

Without further ado, here are the SSBR Games of the Week for Week 1.

Navajo Indians (0-0) vs Ft Cobb-Broxton Mustangs (1-0), Monday (4:30 p.m.)

Navajo has made 5 straight state tournaments (Fall and Spring combined). The Indians return a ton of experience coming into the Fall season and with what looks like a wide open Class A, they look like one of the favorites to be playing the last Saturday of the season. Ft Cobb-Broxton is coming off 2 state runner up finishes last school season and 6 straight state championships before that. Expectations are high for the Mustangs as they too return a lot of experience, especially on the mound along with some talented newcomers. For a look at the season preview for FCB, click here.

Asher Indians (0-0) vs Latta Panthers (0-0), Monday (4:30 p.m.)

Asher comes into the season with expectations to challenge for the state championship in Class B. They return 5 starters from a team that made the state tournament last Spring along with newcomers they plan to be major contributors. For a look at the season preview for Asher, click here.

Latta comes into the fall as the class 2A-1 State Champs this past Spring. The Panthers lost some seniors from that squad, but they are always a talented squad and one of the top teams in 2A. A win on the road at Asher would be a great start to the season.

Rattan Rams (0-0) vs Oktaha Tigers (0-0), Tuesday (6:00 p.m.)

Rattan enters the Fall coming off 46 wins combined in the 2025-2026 school year including a state runner up finish in the Fall and the Class A-2 State Championship in the Spring. The Rams return several players from those teams including one of the best catchers in the state in Shade Cody. For a look at the season preview for Rattan, click here.

After another run to the Class 2A-1 state tournament in the Spring, the biggest news for Oktaha this offseason was Nic Toblert being selected in the 9th round of the MLB Draft this summer. That does not mean the cupboard is bare in Oktaha as they return plenty of talent and depth pieces this Fall. For a look at the season preview for Oktaha, click here.

Silo Rebels (1-0) vs Calera Bulldgos (0-1), Tuesday (4:30 p.m.)

Towns that are only 10 miles apart, this is another episode in a long rivalry.

Silo returns a ton of talent and what they did lose is being replaced with some talented youngsters. After finishing as a state semifinalist last fall and as a state quarterfinalist in Class 3A in the Spring, the Rebels are one of the favorites for the Class 2A state title this Fall. They already have an impressive win over Wright City to start the season.bFor a look at the season preview for Silo, click here.

Calera has made the last state tournaments (Fall and Spring combined). The Bulldogs look to be one of the 8 Class 2A state tournament teams this Fall.

Roff Tigers (1-0) vs Wright City Lumberjax (0-1), Thursday (5:00 p.m.)

Roff is coming off a trip to the Class B state tournament this past Spring. The Tigers did lose 7 starters from that team, but they look to have the pitching as they look to rebuild and get to another state tournament this Fall. For a look at the season preview for Roff, click here.

Wright City also made the state tournament in the Spring and look to get back there this Fall with a ton of experience including 7 returning starters. With a tough schedule this Fall, a win at Roff would get the Jax started in the right direction. For a look at the season preview for Wright City, click here.
