The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activity Association finalized the 2026-2027 ADM (Average Daily Membership) recently and with that they have released the classifications for baseball for the upcoming Spring season.

Along with that, the OSSAA has released the Districts for Classes 3A-6A for the next 2 seasons (Classes B-2A do not use districts).

Each team will play the other teams in their District twice and the standings at the end of the regular season will determine Regional hosts and seedings.

For Classes 5A and 6A, Districts 1 and 2 will play each other in Regionals while Districts 3 and 4 face off with the 1st and 2nd place teams in each District hosting a Regional. The winners of those 8 Regionals move on to the state tournament.

For Classes 3A and 4A, it is 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, and so on. The 16 Regional winners then move on to the Area round (or “Super Regional” as some call it) where they are seeded and play a best of 3 series against one team. Those 8 winners in the Area round move on to the state tournament.

Let’s take a look at the Districts.

Class 6A

The only change in 6A is Booker T Washington. The Hornets move up from 5A where they’ve been for several seasons.

Class 5A

With Booker T Washington moving up to 6A, that means Sapulpa moves back down to 5A as the largest ADM in 5A.

Another team of note, after one season in 4A, Elgin moves back up to 5A for this upcoming season and will be in the same District as Duncan and Newcastle.

Class 4A

With Elgin moving up to 5A, Bishop McGuinness moves down to 4A with the largest ADM.

Class 3A

The biggest news here is the addition of Dale to Class 3A. One of the best small school programs historically, the Pirates will be moving up a classification after being a 2A school.

Other notes, a year after qualifying for the state tournament for the first time in school history, Davis drops down to Class 2A-1.

Community Christian (CCS) moves back down to 3A after spending last year in 4A.
