Here at SSBR we try to have fun with what we do. We cover a sport that is supposed to be fun and we want to convey that in our content.

One of the ways SSBR does it is by doing a version of a ranking system. SSBR take all the teams regardless of classification and do our best to rank them on how they are doing relative to their class.

*In the Spring we have the caveat that says we are not ranking them on a “head to head” basis. In the Fall since teams may play each other regardless of class more regularly, “head to head” is more of a factor.

We also do our rankings based on results more than what we think who would necessarily win a game. If a spot comes down to two teams, if they’ve played head to head the result of that game weighs heavily in that decision. (The first week’s rankings, however, do have what a team’s expectations for the season factored in, but as the season goes along it will be the results that matter.)

In the Spring we do a “Sweet Sixteen. In the Fall we do an “Top Ten,” because there aren’t as many teams as the Spring. (We are expanding from 8 to 10 this Fall season.)

Let’s take a look at the 4th SSBR Fall Top Ten for the 2026 season.

1. Silo Rebels (2A), 10-0

Last week: 1

Used the same intro paragraph last week and we’ll use it again this week…

The Silo Rebels are a wagon. They keep rolling on winning in multiple ways. They blow other teams out, win games without any scares, and win games with their pitching depth.

This past week the Rebels went 4-0. After defeating Soper on Tuesday, 12-2, Silo went 3-0 at the Asher Festival of Champions shutting out Vanoss and Calumet in games 2 and 3 as they won those 3 games by a combined score of 26-1.

They are the last undefeated team in the state this Fall.

This week: Tues at Byng; Thurs-Sat: Silo Tournament

2. Tushka Tigers (2A), 14-2

Last week: 2

Tushka holds down the 2nd spot for the 2nd straight week going 4-0 last week.

After opening the week with 2 road wins at Calera and Asher, the Tigers went 2-0 at their festival defeating Howe and Byng.

This week: Tues: at Crowder; Thurs-Sat at Silo Tournament

3. Ft Cobb-Broxton (B); 17-2

Last week: 2

Ft Cobb-Broxton holds downt the 3 spot again after going 5-0 last week. The Mustangs beat a game Drummond team on Monday before handing the 2nd ranked Class B team according to the coaches in Dover, 9-1 on Tuesday.

They ended the week winning their first 3 games of the Hydro-Eakly Labor Day Tournament (Drummond, AmPo, Leedey) to put them in Monday’s championship game.

This week: Tues: vs Sterling

4. Dale Pirates (2A); 11-2

Last week: 4

Dale went 5-0 last week. The Pirates started the week with a solid win over SSBR ranked Dover on Monday then another big win over Calumet. After that, Dale went 3-0 at the Asher Festival of Champions outscoring their opponents 26-1 including 2 shutouts.

This week: Tues: vs Calumet; Thurs-Sat at Silo Tournament

5. Rattan Rams (A); 14-3

Last week: 5

Rattan went 3-0 last week and stays in the 5th spot. Their perfect week included a 9-1 win over rival, Wright City.

The Rams are a perfect 7-0 against Class A teams and their 3 losses have come to Silo and Dale

This week: Tues: vs Calera; Thurs: vs Rock Creek; Fri: vs Cameron

6. Tupelo Tigers (B); 10-3

Last week: 6

Unlike the top 5 teams in the poll, Tupelo dropped a game last week. However, with the results of the other teams around them, Tupelo stays in the 6th spot this week.

The Tigers opened the week with wins over Mill Creek and Byng, before dropping a game to 2A’s Latta in the Tushka Festival.

This week: Tues: vs Coleman; Thurs-Sat at Silo Tournament

7. Dover Longhorns (B); 15-3

Last week: 7

It’s not often that a team drops 2 games in a week and stays in the same spot, but that is what we have here.

Dover lost their first 2 games last week, but they were to Dale and Ft Cobb-Broxton. They then bounced back to win 3 straight and the Mulhall-Orlando Tournament championship.

This week: Tues: vs Mulhall-Orlando; Thurs-Sat at Flatland Classic (Woodward)

8. Leedey Bison (B); 12-5

Last week: NR

Leedey moves back into the rankings this week after 4-1. The Bison won their first 4 games of the week including a 11-0 win over Navajo in the Hydro-Eakly Labor Day Tournament. They did lose their last game of the week against Ft Cobb-Broxton in the winners bracket final, but they are sitting in the semifinal with a chance to compete for the championship on Monday

This week: Mon at H-E Labor Day Tournament; Thurs-Sat at Flatland Classic (Woodward)

9. Navajo Indians (A); 10-4

Last week: 9

Navajo stays in the rankings this week as a result of the fact they are in the final 4 of the H-E Labor Day Tournament. After dropping their game to Leedey, the Indians have bounced back winning 3 straight and are in the final 4 in an elimination game vs Canute on Monday with a chance to still win the tournament.

The Indians get the nod over Canute based on their recent win vs the Trojans.

This week: Mon at H-E Labor Day Tournament; Thurs-Sat at Sentinel Tournament

10. Canute Trojans (A), 15-3

Last week: 10

What we said about Navajo can be said about Canute. The Trojans got upset early in the H-E Labor Day Tournament, but have won 3 straight to make the final 4 on Monday.

This week: Mon: at H-E Labor Day Tournament; Tues: Lookeba-Sickles; Thurs-Sat: at Flatland Classic (Woodward)
