The calendar has turned to the a new school year and that means the OSSAA high school Fall baseball season will be here soon. The season officially gets underway on August 10, but teams can play games before then if both teams have already started school.
Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 Fall season.
What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.

Classification: B
2025 Fall Results: 15-13
2026 Spring Results: 19-8 (State quarterfinalist)
Head Coach: Elliot Alberson
Head coaching experience: 15 years (2nd at Asher)
Top Returners
- Hudson Skender – SR – Coming back from injury, Hudson will be a major contributor on the mound. He’s a good defender in the OF who hits for average and power.
- Easton Welch – SR – Easton is a NOC Enid commit. He has worked hard to become a good defender. Easton shows strong power and the ability to hit for average.
- Hunter Francis – SR – Hunter has the flexibility to play multiple positions and be good in any. He is a smart player and continues to show a good bat and glove.
- Mitchell Skender – SO – He was a key contributor last year but I expect a bump on the mound as well as the plate. Mitchell is an improved defender and shows good power at the plate.
- Aiden Dodge – JR – Aiden is a smart player who has the ability to play multiple positions when called upon. He also continues to improve offensively and a great team guy.

- Lane Alexander – SR – SS/P

My expectations are to compete for a championship. We will return 5 starters from a state tournament team and add 3 others who will be major contributors. I’m excited to see what we are at the end of the season.
