The quarterfinals are over and it is time to recap the day’s action as we are now down to the semifinals for Friday.

Let’s take a look at the happenings of Thursday. We will use the data from the winning team’s GameChanger page.




(1) Ft Cobb-Broxton 7
(4) Leedey 1

In a matchup of two teams that played each other earlier this season, Ft Cobb-Broxton jumped out front in the first inning and lead the entire game.

The Mustangs scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 1st on singles by Kase Wilson, Marcus Luecht, and Aydin Bryant who knocked in 2 runs with his hit.

FCB scored 1 run each of the next 3 innings to really take control of the game. Kholten Baker scored on a wild pitch in the 2nd, Baker then knocked in Bryant with an RBI double to center field in the 3rd, Wilson rounded out the scoring for the Mustangs in the 4th on an error by the Bison.

Curtis Schilling knocked in the only run for the Bison on a double to left in the 2nd inning.

Rhett Bellamy was outstanding for the Mustangs on the mound as he threw a complete game on only 82 pitches

After a pair of scoreless innings for both teams to start the game, Calumet took control of the game in the middle innings scoring 9 runs in innings 3, 4, and 5.

Calumet got on the board in the 3rd on a single by Talon Arnold scoring two runs. Kingston Arnold followed that up with another RBI single. A few batters later, Wade Reed knocked in Talon Arnold iwth a single of his own.

In the 4th inning, Kaleb Thiessen tripled to center field bringing in a run. Talon Arnold knocked knocked in his 3rd RBI with a line drive to center field.

The Chieftains scored 3 more in the 5th on an RBI single by Wyatt Cox and a 2 RBI base hit by Thiessen.

Cade Stilley started the game the game for Calumet and was cruising until the 6th inning when he gave up 3 runs to the Hornets. Talon Arnold came in relief and got the last 5 outs for the Chieftains
