The quarterfinals are over and it is time to recap the day’s action as we are now down to the semifinals for Friday.

Let’s take a look at the happenings of Thursday. We will use the data from the winning team’s GameChanger page.

Okarche used the blue print in handling Rattan in the semis that they’ve used all season – great pitching and timely hitting.

After reaching base on a lead off walk, Luke Hill eventually found himself on 3B where he scored on a fielder’s choice by Jett Mueggenborg.

In the 3rd inning, the top half of the Warriors’ lineup was at it again. Easton Roby knocked in Luke Hill, who had singled, with a triple. Roby then scored on an RBI single by Brett Carnott. Two batters later, Ethan Kirby knocked in 2 more on a single to center field.

After Rattan got on the board in the 6th, Okarche got the run back on a steal of home by Hill.

Hill was impressive on the mound for Okarche as he picked up the win going 5 innings allowing just 1 run and striking out 7.

Cy Collamore finished the last 2 innings for the Warriors not allowing a hit and striking out 3.

Boston Baker came up huge for Canute on the day as the Trojans picked a good time to play one of their most complete games of the season.

After facing the minimum batters in the 1st inning, Canute opened the scoring in the bottom half of the 1st on a 2 run triple by Baker followed by an RBI single by Teague Farris.

After not scoring in the 2nd, Canute score in each of the next 4 innings en route to the run rule. Nathan Bryant got an RBI on a fielder’s choice in the 3rd. In the 4th, Jake Beutler had an RBI double followed by another RBI single by Farris. Nixon Baker put the Trojans on the board again in the 5th on a single to left field followed by another RBI single by Boston Baker 3 batters later. Luke Spitz rounded out the scoring for Canute in the 6th on an RBI double to center field.

Bryant was outstanding for the Trojans on the mound as he went the full 6 inning allowing only 5 hits and striking out 4.
