A team made up of some of the best underclass players in the Sooner State is one step away from winning a national championship.

Team Oklahoma is one of twelve different all star teams representing their respective states playing in the High School Baseball Championship Series this week in Omaha, NE.

The full 12 team field was split into 3 brackets for pool play:

Bracket A

  • Arizona, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan

Bracket B

  • California, Florida, Kansas, Nebraska

Bracket C

  • Hawaii, Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas

Oklahoma went 2-1 in their pool/bracket beating Hawaii and Illinois before losing to Texas in their 3rd game. They qualified for the semifinals based on those results and moved into Sunday’s finals with a win over Arizona on Saturday. They will play California in the finals on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. The game will air on ESPNU.

Event History

According to the event’s website, it started in 2019 with teams from California, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and Texas.
