Here at SSBR we try to have fun with what we do. We cover a sport that is supposed to be fun and we want to convey that in our content.
One of the ways SSBR does it is by doing a version of a ranking system. SSBR take all the teams regardless of classification and do our best to rank them on how they are doing relative to their class.
*In the Spring we have the caveat that says we are not ranking them on a “head to head” basis. In the Fall since teams may play each other regardless of class more regularly, “head to head” is more of a factor.
We also do our rankings based on results more than what we think who would necessarily win a game. If a spot comes down to two teams, if they’ve played head to head the result of that game weighs heavily in that decision. (The first week’s rankings, however, do have what a team’s expectations for the season factored in, but as the season goes along it will be the results that matter.)
In the Spring we do a “Sweet Sixteen. In the Fall we do an “Top Ten,” because there aren’t as many teams as the Spring. (We are expanding from 8 to 10 this Fall season.)
Let’s take a look at the 2nd SSBR Fall Top Ten for the 2026 season.
As always, this is for fun so please treat it as such.

1. Silo Rebels (2A), 11-0
Last week: 1
Through the 1st full week of the season, Silo was the most dominant team in the state. Through the 2nd week of the season, nothing has changed. Silo showed this week they can beat teams in multiple ways: they can simply outscore them, or their pitching depth shines through.
It was their pitching that shined this week. It was a 5-0 week with the Tupelo Tournament title, but it was bookended by a pair of 1 run wins. On Monday, Rattan scored 3 unanswered runs to pull within a run, but Aiden McCarty shut them down in the 6th and 7th. On Saturday, Brody Airington of Tupelo held the Rebels to just 2 runs, but McCarty and Nolan Northcott combined to allow just 4 Tigers hits and 1 run.
Silo has a total of 4 wins against the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th ranked teams in this week’s Top Ten.
This week: Tues at Cameron; Fri-Sat in Missouri for their annual Fall trip (Licking HS, Purdy HS, St Elizabeth HS)
2. Ft Cobb-Broxton Mustangs (B), 8-1
Last week: 2
A perfect 3-0 week last week saw the Mustangs take down rival, Calumet, on the road in 9 innings before they hosted then #5 Dale and Arapaho-Butler on Friday.
FCB scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 6th to overtake Dale holding on to win 5-3 before run ruling A-B in 5 innings, 8-0.
This week: Mon: vs Okarche; Tues: at Fletcher; Thurs-Sat at Roff Tournament
3. Rattan Rams (A), 9-2
Last week: 4
Rattan has emerged as the team to beat in Class A at this point. The Rams were impressive winning the Oktaha Tournament beating then #3 Tushka in the semis then Preston in the finals. The Rams have won 4 in a row after losing at Silo by 1 run on Monday.
This week: Mon at Smithville; Tues at #4 Tupelo; Fri vs #7 Dale
4. Tupelo Tigers (B), 6-1
Last week: 6
Tupelo has a long tradition in the sport of baseball, and it looks like they are a contender to add to the trophy case again this Fall. Going 3-1 this week, it isn’t often you find a team move up in the rankings with a loss. However, after a gutsy extra inning win vs Class A contender, Navajo, in the semis the Tigers gave #1 Silo their toughest game of the season so far.
This week: Tues vs #3 Rattan; Thurs at Wright City; Fri vs Moss
5. Dover Longhorns (B), 10-0
Last week: 7
Dover is one of only 2 teams to have won double digit games and be undefeated through the first 2 weeks (Silo). The Longhorns look to be a solid pick to be one of the 8 teams in the Class B state tournament. They have wins over state tournament contenders Vici, Asher, and Leedey so far this season. They won the Chad Speer Classic (Glencoe) this past week.
This week: Tues at Okarche; Thurs at AmPo; Fri vs Drummond
6. Tushka Tigers (2A), 7-2
Last week: 3
The Tigers stumbled a little last week going 2-2. They lost at home to Wright City, 11-2 before heading to the Oktaha Tournament. In Oktaha, the Tigers beat Wister in the opener before losing a 1 run game to Rattan, 2-1 in the semis. They bounced back in the 3rd place game beating fellow 2A, Oktaha, 7-4
This week: Tues at Latta; Thurs vs Varnum; Fri vs Wister
7. Dale Pirates (2A), 4-2
Last week: 5
If it wasn’t for 1 team, Dale would be undefeated at this point. Both of their losses have come at the hands of Ft Cobb-Broxton in which the Pirates led late in both games. Dale picked up a good win on the road at Oktaha on Tuesday along with beating Arapaho-Butler on Friday in the FCB/Dale/A-B threeway series.
This week: Tues at OCA; Fri vs #3 Rattan
8. Union City Tigers (A), 6-2
Last week: NR
In a class that looks wide open outside of Rattan at this point, Union City is a team that could emerge as a contender. After a tough loss to Dover to open the week, the Tigers won the Varnum tournament defeating Battiest/Stuart, Wright City, and Asher in the finals.
This week: Fri vs Glencoe
9. Canute Trojans (A); 6-1
Last week: NR
The 2 time state runner up in the 25-26 academic year is back in the rankings in the 2026 Fall season. After a tough loss to 2A Byng in the opening weekend, the Trojans responded in a great way last week going 3-0 in their games outscoring their opponents a combined 33-0.
This week: Mon vs Blair/Granite; Tues at Navajo; Fri-Sat at Elk City Festival (#10 Leedey, Calumet)
10. Leedey Bison (B), 6-2
Last week: NR
After a rough 1-2 start in the first week that included a 1 run loss to Dover, Leedey bounced back this week going 5-0 while winning their Invitational tournament. The Bison defeated state tournament contender Vici in the semis, 8-2, before beating state champ contender, Calumet, 10-9, in 11 innings in the championship game.
This week: Mon at FGFS; Tues vs Vici; Fri vs Calumet and Navajo (Elk City Festival)

- #8 Oktaha (1-3 last week)
- #9 Drummond (2-2 last week)
- #10 Navajo (1-2 last week)
