Over the last few seasons, SSBR has awarded weekly player and pitcher of the week awards across both the high school and small college/JUCO landscape in Oklahoma.

This Fall high school season, SSBR is stepping it up a bit and will be awarding a player and pitcher of the year award for each class along with an All SSBR Team for each class.

Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the head coaches of the Fall high schools teams for Fall previews. We received over 30 responses for those previews.

One of the questions in those questionnaires was for the head coach to nominate up to 3 members of their teams for the preseason watchlist for those player and pitcher of the year awards. Some coaches provided 3 names, some provided less, and some opted to not name any players/pitchers (and that’s ok).

What we have below are the names of those player/pitchers that were named to the preseason watchlist.

*This does not mean that the eventual player/pitcher of the year and All SSBR Teams will be chosen exclusively from these lists.
