The Oklahoma high school baseball season returns to “normal” this week as just about every team gets back into the swing of things after Spring Break last week.

That also means it is the return of the weekly end of the week events that bring together teams to compete in various festivals or tournaments.

This week there are five events literally across the state that SSBR will focus on: Tiger Trojan Festival, Choctaw Tournament, Rattan Spring Classic, Chickasha Festival, and the I-40 Festival.

Let’s take a look at the I-40 Festival.

The I-40 Festival is hosted by both Weatherford and Clinton High Schools. It has 10 squads driving down the “mother road” (ok, it’s not Route 66) for 3 days of competition.

It has 2 teams in the latest SSBR Sweet Sixteen that are in the top 5: #4 Tuttle and #5 Okarche. Calumet is also just on the outside looking in at the SSBR Sweet Sixteen and are considered the favorites in Class B.
