There are five tournaments on the schedule this weekend. You can check out the Okarche/AmPo Tournament and Silo Tournament‘s that we’ve already previewed.

Lost behind those tournaments is a sneaky good one that Calera High School is putting on. The tournament features 2, 2A squads in Colbert and the host school, Calera, looking to solidify their spots in the top eight of the 2A coaches rankings to host a regional. It also has two Class B teams – Coleman and Boswell, and a Class A team – Roff, each looking to make a statement and possibly host a district/regionals themselves.

This is a traditional eight team, double elimination tournament that has Colbert and Calera on the opposite sides of the bracket and will play each other for the championship if everything plays out as it does on paper.
