SSBR 2026 Fall Preview: Frontier Mustangs

The calendar has turned to the a new school year and that means the OSSAA high school Fall baseball season will be here soon. The season officially gets underway on August 10, but teams can play games before then if both teams have already started school.

Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 Fall season.

What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.

Classification: B

2025 Fall Results: 12-14

2026 Spring Results: 5-12

Head Coach: Hayden Hopper

Head coaching experience: 1st Year

Top Returners

Cole Williams (SR) Cole will be on the mound in a lot of big games for us. Athletic build. Senior leader. Great player, great teammate, even better individual.
Lincoln Ingmire (SR) Lincoln will also throw a lot of innings for us. Lanky athlete. Will hold down the corners for us. Much like Cole, another senior leader that doesn’t mind holding teammates accountable to succeed.

Top Newcomers

Kash Krausert (FR) Krausert will hopefully be our everyday guy behind the dish. Physical body. True catcher type of work ethic.

Team strengths

Hard Workers. Willingness to compete.

Team needs to work on

Making routine plays and playing fundamental baseball. Understanding jobs/roles.

Outlook

Playing fundamental baseball will be crucial for us. We will be fairly young from an age standpoint along with a baseball player mentality standpoint. A lot of guys will be getting innings on the mound that haven’t really thrown. Offensive lineup will be a puzzle piece with how similar everyone is. It will be interesting to see how my guys handle the high expectations that are already being set. If everyone buys in to the process of what we are trying to do, we have a chance to do something special and get this program moving in the right direction.
