The Oklahoma high school baseball season returns to “normal” this week as just about every team gets back into the swing of things after Spring Break last week.

That also means it is the return of the weekly end of the week events that bring together teams to compete in various festivals or tournaments.

This week there are five events literally across the state that SSBR will focus on: Tiger Trojan Festival, Choctaw Tournament, Rattan Spring Classic, Chickasha Festival, and the I-40 Festival.

Let’s take a look at the Choctaw Tournament.

The tournament is a traditional 8 team bracket with each team guaranteed 3 games. There are teams from Classes 6A, 5A, and 4A along with our friends from Life Prep in Wichita.

Yukon (#10) is the only current SSBR Sweet Sixteen team in the field, but the field is full of teams that are state tournament contenders in their respective classifications. Choctaw, Moore, and Bixby are teams that we could definitely see in the 6A field in May as well as Noble in 5A and Harrah and North Rock Creek in 4A.
