The calendar has turned to the a new year and that means the OSSAA high school baseball season will be here soon. Classes A1, A2, and B officially get started February 23 while the rest of the classes begin March 2.

Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 season.

What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.

Top Returners

• Sadler Greb – Lefty 1B that hit 4 HR’s last year as a freshman
• Paxton Glenn – 6’8 Lefty pitcher that came on strong at the end of last year. I hope he picks up where he left off. He could put up big numbers for his senior season.
• Payton Pierce – Senior shortstop that hit .455 last year. I hope he can lead us again this year.
• Bodey Thomas – Sophomore pitcher. He pitched all of our big games last year as a freshman.

• Brody Wallace – A really fast athlete that will help in the outfield and possibly behind the plate.

Overall Team Needs to Work On

Consistency. Most of the athletes on our team play football, basketball, baseball, and run track. The key will be getting them back to where we were last spring and then consistently competing the rest of the season.

Outlook

Last spring we finished the year by beating a really good Dover team in districts. We followed that with a couple of competitive games with Asher and Boswell in regionals. We return seven starters and have bigger goals this season.
