The calendar has turned to the a new year and that means the OSSAA high school baseball season will be here soon. Classes A1, A2, and B officially get started February 23 while the rest of the classes begin March 2.

Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 season.

What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.

Today’s team: Henryetta Knights

Classification: 3A

2025 Spring Results: 11-15

Head Coach: Mason Kellett

Head coaching experience: 4 years (2 at Henryetta)

Top Returners

  • Hunter Bowdler, Big time arm, opponent batted .118 against him last year.
  • Boston Morris, 2nd team All District
  • Will Perez, All District Catcher, 30 stolen bases last year.
  • Mavrix Randleman, power hitting top producer for runs batted in and All District Utility Player.

Top Newcomers

  • Haiden Kaler (JR), CF LHP. Expecting to dominate on the mound for us this year as well as being very productive at them plate with a lot of stolen bases this year.
  • Blake Silkwood (SR), Utility, RHP, Blake will hit in the Heart of the line up and is expected to drive in a lot of runs for our team. Blake will also be a player on the bump and throw valuable innings for us.
  • EJ Glover (FR), LHP, EJ is a young power arm that I expect high expectations for, he commands all 3 pitches excellently and I think will be hard to hit of this year.

Overall Team Strengths

Pitching and defense

Overall Team Needs to Work On

We can struggle hitting from time to time.

Outlook

I am expecting us to have a good season. I think that we can make it to a super regional and compete to go to the state tournament
