The calendar has turned to the a new year and that means the OSSAA high school baseball season will be here soon. Classes A1, A2, and B officially get started February 23 while the rest of the classes begin March 2.

Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 season.

What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.


Today’s team: Noble Bears

Classification: 5A

2025 Results: 26-12 (State semifinalist)

Head Coach: Erik Hughes

Head coaching experience: 17 years (5 at Noble)


Top Returners

  • Weston Randolph– SR- SS/P – Hutchinson CC commit- Athletic Hardnose kid that has a lot of baseball knowledge.
  • Jackson Steely– SR – UTL/P – Western CC commit – Athletic hard working kid that can play anywhere on the field.
  • Trent Shortes – SR – 1st/3rd/P – Hard working kid that has built himself into an above average player
  • Seth Wilson – SR – OF – Dordt University for football – Athletic kid with a massive competitive attitude.
  • Dierks Wente – SR – OF – Hard Working kid that hits extra every day. Can’t stand to lose.
  • Hayden Clement – JR – INF/OF/P – A baseball player that can play anymore. Great contact bat
  • Isaac Ethridge– JR – INF/P – a baseball player that can eat up a lot innings on the mound.

Top Newcomers

  • Hayden Kudrna – JR – OF/P – Athletic kid with a power bat that has gotten better every year
  • Brodie Smith – SO – 1st/P – Young left handed pitcher and bat. Great knowledge of the game and a hard worker.
  • Parker Hager – SO – C – Young kid that has built himself into being a good defensive catcher. Expecting him to get throughout the year.
  • Easton Bruehl – JR – OF/P – Athletic kid that will compete for a spot in the outfield or in the batting order.

Overall Team Strengths

  • Academics!
  • Great team chemistry
  • A bunch of blue collar baseball players
