The calendar has turned to the a new year and that means the OSSAA high school baseball season will be here soon. Classes A1, A2, and B officially get started February 23 while the rest of the classes begin March 2.

Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 season.

What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.

Classification: A-2

2025 Spring Results: 7-20

2025 Fall Results: 11-13

Head Coach: Chad Price

Head coaching experience: 2 years (all at Ninnekah)


Top Returners

  • Garrett Ray – class of 2026 (RHP/infield/outfield) outstanding command of pitches, 433 batting average, extremely smart and great leader
  • Kaeden Kennell – class of 2026 (RHP/Infielder) good hitter with a 309 average, great help in the pitching rotation, good leadership and teammate
  • Daniel Jones-Standing – class of 2026 (RHP/infield/outfield) good lead off hitter with a 397 batting average, 557 OBP, smart base runner
  • Tanner Haney – class of 2027 (RHP/Catcher/infield) outstanding hitter with a 448 batting average, low strikeouts (7 in the fall season) should see more mound time in the upcoming season
  • Jackson Short – class of 2027 (RHP/infielder) good hitter with a 370 batting average, very helpful in the pitching rotation and should see more time on the mound,

Top Newcomers

  • Easton Perryman – class of 2029 (RHP/infield/outfield) good young player with big upside. Will help out our pitching staff
  • Ethan Holland – class of 2029 (Infield/outfield) very athletic young player with tons of potential. Exciting base runner, hard working very coachable
  • Ethan Barber – class of 2029 (RHP/infield/outfield) will help our pitching rotation, hard working player

Overall Team Strengths

This year our strength is found in our senior leadership. I am very blessed to have such hardworking young men who have raised our standard for baseball

Minimizing our mistakes, both physically and mentally, will be a huge key to our success as a ball club this year.
