The calendar has turned to the a new year and that means the OSSAA high school baseball season will be here soon. Classes A1, A2, and B officially get started February 23 while the rest of the classes begin March 2.

Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 season.

What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.

Classification: 3A

2025 Results: 24-12 (2A-1)

Head Coach: Greg Harris

Head coaching experience: 35 years (2nd at Wyandotte)

Top Returners

• Terry Hembree -SR – Leading hitter from last year – catcher
• Tayton Threet – SR – Top notch defender – lead the team home runs and stolen bases – has not decided yet where he is going
• Kason Threet – SR – catcher/RHP/SS – the swish army knife for the team
• Hunter White – SR – starting QB for 3 years- missed high school baseball last from surgery – natural leader
• Jairus Robertson – JR – part time starter at SS/RHP – could be a big help on the mound
• Brody LaPee – JR – most appearances coming out of last season – lead the team in saves as well
• Hagen Lankford – JR – leadoff hitter as a sophomore – combination of speed and power at the top
• Two other guys are also returning from injuries last year that hopefully help this team. Mason Brown and Talon Wyrick

• Three freshmen may see a lot of innings in non con games- Jeff Sapp, Haden Austin, Jaren Stewart

Overall Team Strengths

Lots of returning players before injuries took them out last year plus the ones who stepped up after we lost those players that finished 24-12 last year
