The Fall State Championship games for all three classes (2A, A, B) were played on Saturday. Sooner State Baseball Report was there and provided inning by inning updates on all three games.

Below are those updates so you can see how each game played out.


Class A: Okarche 8 Canute 2

First up was the Class A championship game between the Okarche Warriors and Canute Trojans.

Okarche jumped out early and didn’t look back.

Warriors get a couple of base runners but Farris does a great job getting out of the inning

Roby settles in and send the Trojans down in order

Roby helps his cause with a line drive base hit RBI

Roby lets 2 Trojans on after 2 outs but he induces the pop out to end the threat

Warriors get a run on a wild pitch

Trojans get on the board in an RBI double off the left field wall by Nate Bryant 

Mid 7

Warriors get a runner on but he’s caught stealing to end the inning

The Trojans get a run but it’s not enough.

The Okarche Warriors are the Class A Fall State Champions!


Class B: Calumet 5 Ft Cobb-Broxton 3 (8 innings)

The 2nd game of the day was the best game of the day.

After FCB jumped up 3-0 after 1 inning, Kingston Arnold of the Chieftains held the Mustangs scoreless the rest of the way before giving way to Kaleb Thiessen in relief in the 7th who shut out FCB the rest of the way as well.

The Chieftains chipped away until they finally took the lead in the top of the 8th, held on, and broke through for the state title.

FCB works around a 2 out 1B and ends the inning on a tremendous catch by RF Bode Rains

After a 2 out 3B, Kingston Arnold gets the K to end the threat

Chieftains go down in order. Mustangs have a chance to walk I off in the 7th

After not leading at any point in the game, the Chieftains score 2 and have 3 outs to get for the state championship

THE CALUMET CHIEFTAINS ARE THE STATE CHAMPIONS!


Class 2A: Byng 13 Tushka 1 (5 innings)

The last game of the day was the 2A game.

Byng came in as the favorite and played the part as they overwhelmed Tushka from the start.
