The quarterfinals are over and it is time to recap the day’s action as we are now down to the semifinals for Friday.
Let’s take a look at the happenings of Thursday. We will use the data from the winning team’s GameChanger page.

(1) Okarche 15
(7) Wright City 2
For a half inning, it looked like the heavy favorite, Okarche Warriors, would be put to a test. Wright City jumped out to a 2-0 lead after scoring on a wild pitch and then on a dropped 3rd strike. The Warriors, however, evened the score at 2-2 in the bottom of the 1st on an RBI triple by Easton Roby and an RBI ground out by Brett Carnott.
From the 2nd inning on it was all Okarche. Carnott was a one man wrecking crew the rest of the game as he had 3 hits – all of the extra base variety as he hit a 2 run home run, a 3 run triple, and an RBI double for a total of 8 RBI in the game.
Easton Roby addes 2 triples as Cy Collamore, Colin Hendrickson, and Ethan Kirby all contributed doubles.
Kirby came in relief in the 2nd inning and pitched 3.2 innings of no runs to earn the win.

(4) Rattan 6
(6) Cameron 4
Rattan jumped out to an early lead in the 1st as the Rams scored 4 run all with 2 outs. JE Ellis go the scoring started with a base hit scoring Shade Cody. After the next 2 batters got on base via hit by pitches, Kane Branton knocked in Jett Janoe and Xadin Watts on a base hit. Bentlee Springfield wrapped up the scoring in the first with another base hit scoring Branton.
The Rams scored another in the 3rd on a sac bunt by Branton scoring Watts.
Cameron got back in the game scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th. Tristin Hagen led off the inning with a solo shot to left field. The Yellowjackets then scored 3 runs on consecutive base hits by Jax Adcock, Canan Sims, and Caston Fox to make it 5-4 Rattan after 6.
The Rams scored the insurance run in the bottom of the 6th on a base hit by Watts.
Cody went the distance on the mound for the Rams earning the win.

(3) Navajo 7
(5) Arapaho-Butler 1
After giving up a run to A-B in the top of the 1st, Jake Lingle and Kanyon Mertz put Navajo on their backs as they led the way to a spot in the Class A semifinals on Friday.
At the plate Mertz went 3-4 with 4 RBI to lead the way for Navajo. After knocking a run in the 1st, Mertz knocked in 2 in the 2nd and rounded out his RBIs with his last one in the 4th.
Along with his 2 hits and 2 RBI, Lingle provided what Navajo needed on the mound going a complete game allowing only 3 hits and 1 run.

(2) Canute 4
(9) Wister 3
In a game that was back and forth, it was Canute that proved to have just a little bit more.
The Trojans got on the board first in the top of 2nd on a 2 out bases loaded walk induced by Clay Randall. Wister answered in the bottom half of the 2nd on a sacrifice fly by Preston Perez to tie it at 1.
In the top of the 3rd, Boston Baker scored on a wild pitch. In the bottom half, Tucker Bell knocked in a run for the Wilcats on a line drive to right.
After a scoreless 4th, Trayton Hines knocked in Nate Bryant on a base hit. Jake Knutson scored on an error on the same play to bring the score to 4-2.
Wister got it to within a run in the bottom of the 6th on a double by Jayden Byars to make it 4-3 Canute where it stayed.
Jake Beutler went 6.2 innings on the mound for Canute as he allowed only 1 earned run on 4 hits. Beutler allowed only 1 walk against 12 strikeouts.
