Week 5 of the regular season is here and it is full of quality tournaments. One of the best tournaments year in and year out is the one that Silo High School puts on and, as usual, it is loaded with traditional power houses.

This year’s tournament features all 3 state champions from the Fall of 2024 – Silo (2A), Wright City (A), and Ft Cobb-Broxton (B). It also features 2 state champions from the Spring of 2025 – Tushka (2A-2) and Wright City (A-1). Oktaha, Tupelo, and Wister all played in state tournaments last year with Oktaha and Wister being state runners up in the Spring.

This year’s tournament will look a little different as there are only 7 teams as the usual 8th school does not have enough players to field a team this Fall. Four teams will play a traditional double elimination bracket on Thursday with the one team that goes 0-2 on the day not moving past Thursday. The other 3 will play pool play on Friday. The team that goes 2-0 on Thursday will play the pool play winner on Saturday for the championship. The team that goes 1-1 on Thursday by winning their first game plays Friday’s 2nd place team in pool play for 3rd while the other 2 play the consolation championship.
