It is the 5th week of the regular season and that means there are only 2 weeks after this one. It also means that it is the 2nd to last week for the in-season tournaments as there aren’t any the last week of the regular season.

As they say though, good things come to those who wait. This week has 5 different events and they all are loaded with some really good fields. However, none of them may be better than the one that Okarche and Amber-Pocasset are putting on together.

This tournament is loaded with some of the top teams from across the state. Four of the teams in the field – Okarche (#2), Canute (#8), Dale (#3), and Byng (#4), are currently in the SSBR Elite Eight. On top of that, Calumet is the current #1 team in the OSSAA Coaches Class B rankings and they’ve spent some time in the SSBR Elite Eight this season. For their part, OCA also spent time in the SSBR Elite Eight earlier this season.

Looking at the bracket below, the 4 SSBR Elite Eight ranked teams are all in separate opening round games and we could have all 4 in the semis.
