One of the best and favorite things about the OSSAA Fall baseball season is all the tournament and/or festivals that are played throughout the season. Teams are able to use these events a fundraisers for their programs and for us fans, they usually bring together some elite teams in one place.

Another one of these events is playing this week in Calumet as the Chieftains host the Calumet Festival. What makes this even unique is the fact that it isn’t played Thursday through Saturday, but it is played Monday and Tuesday.

Regardless of when it is played, the 2025 edition brings together state tournament/championship caliber teams and they will be matched up against each other. Eight of the nine teams currently have winning records. Two of the teams won state titles in 2024-2025. Two more teams were runners up, while two more were state tournament qualifiers in 2024-2025.

Currently, four of the teams are currently ranked in the SSBR Elite Eight.
