Among the several different tournament/festivals this weekend, one that might get overlooked it the Varnum Tournament at Varnum High School in Seminole County. Looking at the bracket and the teams that are playing, overlooking this one would be a mistake.

Of the 2, 2A schools in the tournament, OK Christian Academy comes in with a perfect 6-0 record and Tushka has played arguably the toughest schedule in the state.

For the Class A schools, Wright City won both state championships last year and has started 6-2. Union City is 6-3 and finished as the runner up at last week’s Fletcher Wood Bat Tournament losing to Navajo in the finals. Ripley comes in at 4-4.

For the Class B schools, Stuart may technically have a losing record, but they too have played an incredibly tough schedule and have win over Wright City and Asher who are in the field. Asher comes in winning their other 3 games outside of Stuart, and the host school, Varnum is a perfect 3-0.
