We are back for week 2 of the 2025 Fall season and the schedule is front loaded with big non tournament games.
Some of the storylines for this week’s games:
- A team new to the spotlight tries to prove themselves
- Rematches from week 1 of top teams galore
- A team with high expectations gets into the meat of their schedule
Home team is listed first.

Tushka Tigers (2A), 3-3 vs (SSBR #7) Cameron Yellowjackets (B), 5-0
Don’t let the record fool ya. Tushka is a good team and they are still a favorite to go to the 2A State Tournament and have a say in who wins the title. Their 3 losses are to Wright City, Colbert, and Canute (by 1 run).
Cameron comes into this game with a 5 game winning streak to start the season. They started the week with a run rule at Oktaha and finished it with a run rule at Wister. The Yellowjackets have high expectations for this Fall, and a win at Tushka would be a notch in their belt.
(SSBR #1) Okarche Warriors (A), 4-0 vs (SSBR #8) FCB Mustangs (B), 5-2
When you have 2 teams in your poll play each other they have to be one of your games of the week, right? What makes this even better is this is a rematch from a game played just this past Thursday at the Dale Invitational where Okarche won, 7-1.
Okarche finished last week 4-0 winning the Dale Invitational beating FCB and Dale in that tournament. They also opened the season with a 2-0 win over Class A state title contender, Canute.
Ft Cobb-Broxton started the season with 5 straight wins before dropping 2 at the Dale Invitational to Okarche and Latta (8-7). It is a new era for the Mustangs and it’ll be interesting to see how this game goes.
(SSBR #5) Preston Pirates (2A), 4-1 vs (SSBR #3) Dale Pirates (2A), 3-1
Another SSBR Elite Eight matchup and another rematch from a game played at the Dale Invitational. Dale won that game over Preston, 4-1.
Preston comes into this game winning their other 4 games all by run rule with a combined score of 45-2. That includes an 11-1 win over AmPo and a 9-1 win over Latta at the Dale Invite.
Dale come in with wins over Stuart, Preston, and a walk off against Calumet.
Byng Pirates (2A), 2-0 vs Tushka Tigers (2A), 3-3
There has been some talk about the Byng Pirates coming into this Fall season. State Tournament qualifiers last Fall and 4A Regional Finalists in the Spring, the Pirate have a lot of experience returning that is also being supplemented with some talented transfers. They only played 2 games last week going 2-0 against Ripley and Drummond.
(SSBR #3) Dale Pirates (2A), 3-1 vs (SSBR #1) Okarche Warriors (A), 4-0
We try to “spread the love” and not use teams more than once in a week, but when you have a matchup of 2, top 3 teams and it is a rematch of a game that was played just 3 days earlier, we have to choose it.
Other Games to Watch
We don’t usually do this, but this week has some other events/tournaments that we know have great games that are already scheduled. We will provide coverage of those, but wanted to mention them here.
- FCB/Dale/Canute will play a triple header between them on Friday at Ft Cobb-Broxton
- Okarche/Cameron/Preston play each other in pool play at the Oktaha Tournament on Friday
