With the 2025 MLB Draft over and the deadline for draftees to sign, MLB Pipeline (MLB.com’s department that tracks prospects) has done their annual reranking of prospects to include the new draftees.

They rank the top 100 prospects across all of baseball and the top 30 prospects for each MLB organization.

As you can imagine, with three players with Oklahoma ties drafted in the 1st round of this year’s draft, the Sooner State is well represented in the top 100 as well as the top 30 for each club.

Let’s take a look at each one.

Top 100

17. Ethan Holliday, Colorado Rockies (Stillwater HS)

The former Pioneer is the highest ranked player from Oklahoma and it shouldn’t be a surprise. Although he was drafted #4 overall, Holliday was the consensus top rated player in the 2025 MLB Draft.

18. Eli Willits, Washington Nationals (Ft Cobb-Broxton HS)

Willits slots in right behind Holliday. It shouldn’t be a surprised Willits is here either as he was the #1 overall pick of the 2025 MLB Draft.

20. Carson Benge, New York Mets (Yukon HS, Oklahoma State)

Carson Benge makes it 3 players from the Sooner State in the top 20.

Drafted late in the 1st round of 2024, Benge has shot up through the Mets’ farm system this year. Starting the season in High-A, Benge was promoted to (AA) Binghamton in June. He killed it in AA before being promoted this past week to (AAA) Syracuse.

Benge was also named to the MLB All Star Futures Game.

28. Payton Tolle, Boston Red Sox (Bethany HS)

Like Carson Benge, Payton Tolle has shot up through the minor leagues this season. The Bethany alum was drafted in the 2nd round in 2024 by the Red Sox before starting the season at High A. After 11 appearances in A+, Tolle was promoted to (AA) Portland where he was even better. On August 6, Tolle was promoted to (AAA) Worcester.

So far in 2025, Tolle has a 3.31 ERA with 119 Ks in 81.2 IP.

37. Nolan McLean, New York Mets (Oklahoma State)

McLean was drafted as a two way player in 2023, McLean gave it a go as such. At the end of June in 2024, McLean ditched the batting and concentrated on pitching only.

Starting the 2025 season at AA, it didn’t take long for McLean to earn the call up to (AAA) Syracuse where he kept up his stellar performance. For 2025, McLean has a 2.45 ERA and 127 ks in 113.2 IP.

On Wednesday, August 13, reports have said that McLean will be called up to the New York Mets and make his MLB debut on Saturday, August 16.

84. Jaxon Wiggins, Chicago Cubs (Roland HS)

Wiggins has shot up the rankings lists with his performance this season.

After being drafted by the Cubs with a compensatory pick after the 1st round in 2023, the Cubs have been cautious with Wiggins. He missed all of 2023 with Tommy John and came back midway through the 2024 season. He pitched just 59.2 innings in 2024.

This season, Wiggins started in High A before moving up to AA in early May. Wiggins dominated there before being named to the MLB All Star Futures Game. However, he didn’t pitch in the game and hasn’t since because the Cubs are being extra cautious as Wiggins had already pitched more innings in 2025 than he did in 2024.

For 2025, Wiggins has an ERA of 2.02 with 79 Ks in 62.1 IP.

94. Kyson Witherspoon, Boston Red Sox (Oklahoma)

Witherspoon is the 7th and final Sooner State alum to be ranked in the top 100. Drafted #15 overall in this year’s MLB Draft, Witherspoon was the highest rated college pitcher in the Draft.
