The Summer break is almost over and schools in Oklahoma will begin the 2025-2026 school soon. That also means that it is almost time for the 2025 High School Fall season to start.
The season officially opens on Monday, August 11 (or sooner if both schools are already in session). For the next few weeks, we will be previewing several teams as they look forward to the season.
Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the head coaches of the schools playing baseball this Fall. We asked about their returning players, top players, strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment of where their teams are and could be.

Outlook
Leedey is quietly one of the best small school programs in the state of Oklahoma. They’ve got 35 Fall state tournament appearances and 36 in the Spring. That includes making the both the Fall and Spring state tournaments every season in the 2010’s, while winning titles in 2 Falls and 2 Springs. Leedey made it back to the state tournament in both the Fall and Spring last year.
Coming into this Fall season, the Bison have lost 4 impactful players from last season. They were leaders for the Bison that taught the others what it takes to be successful and work hard every day.
Coach Goldston says the Bison have a lot of experience on the mound and in the field this year. He expects the Bison to play defense at a high level.
While the Bison did lose those 4 players to graduation, Coach Goldston says they are looking to have a great year. He goes on to say they “have a lot of guys who can contribute at any time whether that’s on the mound or at the plate.”
Leedey will be a team to watch as Class B seems to be wide open this season compared to others. If the Bison can put it all together, don’t be surprised to see them have a say in Class B.
