SSBR 2025 Fall Preview – Arapaho-Butler Indians

The Summer break is almost over and schools in Oklahoma will begin the 2025-2026 school soon. That also means that it is almost time for the 2025 High School Fall season to start.

The season officially opens on Monday, August 11 (or sooner if both schools are already in session). For the next few weeks, we will be previewing several teams as they look forward to the season.

Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the head coaches of the schools playing baseball this Fall. We asked about their returning players, top players, strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment of where their teams are and could be.

Today’s team: Arapaho-Butler Indians

Classification: A

Fall 2024 Results: 19-11

Spring 2025 Results: 26-7 (State Quarterfinalist)

Head Coach: Bryan Holt

Head coaching experience: 3 years (all at Arapaho-Butler)

Outlook

Since the arrival of head coach, Bryan Holt, three years ago, Arapaho-Butler has seen an overall improvement in their program. While the Indians have fallen just short of the Fall State Tournament, they have qualified for the Spring State Tournament the last two seasons with a semifinal appearance in 2024.

This year’s squad will be led on the field by two of the better players in any class, Jiles Southall and Rylan Moore. A-B will be strong on the mound and in the field behind their pitchers.

A-B returns 6 starters and a “lot of experience on the mound.” Coach Holt says they are “excited to get going this year,” and “are ready to try and make another run to the State Tournament.” If they do that, it’ll be the first Fall State Tournament in program history.
