The Summer break is almost over and schools in Oklahoma will begin the 2025-2026 school soon. That also means that it is almost time for the 2025 High School Fall season to start.

The season officially opens on Monday, August 11 (or sooner if both schools are already in session). For the next few weeks, we will be previewing several teams as they look forward to the season.

Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the head coaches of the schools playing baseball this Fall. We asked about their returning players, top players, strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment of where their teams are and could be.

Today’s team: Hammon Warriors

Classification: B

Fall 2024 Results: 22-7 (Class B State Semifinalist)

Spring 2025 Results: 22-8 (Class B State Semininalist)

Head Coach: Brady Holland

Head coaching experience: 7 years (3 at Hammon)

Top Returning Players

  • Tripp Higgins
  • Brett Allen

Top Newcomers

  • Ryan Shields

Outlook

After not making a state tournament in 8 years, the Hammon Warriors broke that drought last year by making the Class B State Tournament in both the Fall and Spring. Not only did they make the state tournament in both seasons, the Warriors won their first round games in both before dropping out in the semis.

While head coach Brady Holland says they will need to improve at the plate this upcoming season, the Warriors look to get back to the state tournament behind their strong pitching.
