One of the things we try to do at Sooner State Baseball Report is bring coverage to as many facets of baseball in the state of Oklahoma as we can.
We are taking another step in that direction as we start to announce our weekly players and pitchers of the week for each classification at the high school level.
Each week we will send out nomination forms to coaches from around the state so they can nominate 1 position player and 1 pitcher to be considered. They provide stats and any context they might think would be helpful in considering who should be the winner. The winner for each classification will be selected only from these nominations. Regardless if their player/pitcher is chosen, each nominee will be listed.
Let’s take a look at the winners for Week 8.
