With the 2025 college baseball season now in full swing (no pun intended), it’s time to take a look at the national, regional, and conference rankings in the various levels. Some of the levels have not put out rankings since the preseason, so some may be a little “outdated.”
NCAA D1
The best national poll out there is from D1 Baseball. They provided the best comprehensive coverage of the sport at the D1 level.
As you can see, OSU is the only team from Oklahoma in the rankings. The Pokes were preseason #16 in this poll and after losses to Clemson and Texas they dropped 3 spots (this poll was released on Monday before the Pokes’ loss to Texas State on Tuesday.)
Kendall Rogers did indicate that OU was close to being ranked and if they have a good weekend in Round Rock coming up, they should be in the rankings. For what it’s worth, the guys at D1 have been bullish on OU and their pitching.
Speaking of OU and rankings, the Sooners are ranked in Perfect Game’s poll at #20 (for what that’s worth).
NCAA D2
As you can see, there aren’t any Oklahoma squads in the national top 25 by the NCBWA. UCO did receive votes in the preseason, but I guess winning 9 straight after 2 losses don’t merit any votes. Whatever.
While no Oklahoma teams are in the national rankings, several squads from the 3 conferences represented in Oklahoma are. LSC: Angelo St (2) and UT Tyler (12); MIAA: Central Missouri (3) and Missouri Southern (13); GAC: Arkansas Monticello (21).
UCO is ranked in the ABCA (American Baseball Coaches Association) Coaches Poll at #23.
UCO is receiving votes by D2 Baseball.
Regional Rankings
Perhaps the more important rankings, are the Regional Rankings. These rankings are used for the at large bids to the national tournament. UCO got in the tournament last year with a final regional ranking of #5.
UCO is the highest ranked and in good position at #6 while SWOSU and OBU are in the top 10 at #9 and #10 respectively.
NAIA
The NAIA released their preseason coaches poll way back in November. Both MACU and OCU were in the rankings with OK Wesleyan and USAO receiving votes. Their first in season poll will be released the first week of March. For a look at the preseason poll, click here.
The guys over at NAIA Ball has released their latest poll this week and we have 2 teams from Oklahoma in the poll.
MACU stays in the poll for the 3rd straight week at #15 while Oklahoma Wesleyan makes their season debut at #20.
NJCAA
The coaches have not released a poll for the NJCAA since the preseason rankings. Seminole State in D1 and NOC Tonkawa and Western in D2 received votes.
Perfect Game released a poll this week with Connors State coming in at #22.
