With it being the last full regular season for Classes A & B, the last of the in-season tournaments will be played this week.

There are a few tournaments throughout the season that draw several top teams and have more of a “big tournament” feel and resemble close to a state tournament than an in-season tournament. The Dale Invitational the first week of the season and the Silo Tournament that was played last week are two examples.

This week’s Rattan Fall Classic is another one of those tournaments and this one is more like a state tournament preview. There are three teams that are currently in the SSBR Elite Eight with all three in the top four: #1 Wright City, #2 Silo, and #4 Rattan. There are two that are in the top four in the OSSAA Rankings in their respective classes: Stuart #3 in B and Wister #4 in A. Along with that, Battiest is #6, Tupelo is #10, and Moss #14 in Class B.
