Tupelo is hosting their annual fall tournament this week and, once again, the field is stout.

Silo is the marquee team in the field with Byng also off to a good start on the Fall season. Both teams are in the first SSBR Elite Eight.

Navajo comes into the tournament as a team looking like a state tournament contender in Class A. The Indians made the Class A state tournament this past Spring.

Latta was also a state qualifier last Spring in Class 2A along with Tupelo who were state qualifiers in both the Fall and Spring of 2023-2024.

Rounding out the field are Moss, Calera, and Stonewall who have been state tournament contenders recently.

• Two of the first round matchups are between teams that have already played this season: Silo beat Moss, 12-0 and Byng beat Calera, 2-1.
• Navajo vs Latta is a low key good matchup. The Indians are only a 3-1 loss to Sentinel from being undefeated and they beat Ft Cobb-Broxton to open the season. Latta may have 2 losses, but they are to powerhouses Oktaha and Ft Cobb-Broxton.
• The Stonewall vs Tupelo matchup is 2 teams that have lost 5 straight games combined. Who can turn it around?
