For the 2nd time in 2 days, a prominent high school baseball head coach in the state has announced he is stepping away from his position.

Justin Delay of Bixby High School announced via social media that he is leaving the program to “give (his) family all of (his) attention.”

Bixby has been one of the best programs regardless of classification for several years. In 2023, the Spartans won the State Championship. In 2021 and 2022 made the State Tournament.

This season, Bixby finished with at 23-13 record finishing 3rd in 6A-4. The Spartans were Regional runner up to Stillwater.

The reactions came in quick when the news hit.
