Tuttle vs Cushing (11:00 a.m.)

Tuttle (Last Appearance – 2023)

The Tigers were one of the top dogs in 4A as they have been every year in recent memory this season, and their dominance continued in regionals and areas. They breezed through their regional, picking up 17-0, 10-0, and 10-1 wins to set up an areas matchup with Broken Bow. The Tigers didn’t slow down in areas, run-ruling Broken Bow 14-0 in consecutive games to clinch a state tournament bid.

Cushing (Last Appearance – 2023)

After going 3-0 in their regional with a pair of 12-run performances and an 18-run effort, the Tigers were matched up with Stigler in the 8 vs 9 areas matchup. In what proved to be one of the more exciting postseason battles of the season, the Tigers and Pirates went three games deep, beginning with a 4-3 Cushing win in game one. Game two went to Stigler in a 17-14 shootout, before the Tigers would take a back-and-forth 7-6 victory in game three to punch their ticket to state.

Hilldale vs Marlow (1:30 p.m.)

Hilldale (Last Appearance – 2017)

The Hornets were one of the top teams in 4A all season, and thanks to an offensive explosion so far this postseason will have a chance to continue their run in the state tournament. Hilldale was dominant in their regional, picking up run-rule wins in all three games thanks in big part to 20+ run outbursts in the second and third games. They were rolling through their areas matchup with similar ease after a 13-2 win in game one, but a 14-8 loss in game two sent it to a win-or-go-home third game, which the the Hornets would win comfortably 8-3.

Marlow (Last Appearance – 2022)

The Outlaws have made their return to the state tournament after falling just short in 2023. Marlow went 3-0 in their regional, beating Byng 3-2 in walk-off fashion in game three to secure their spot in areas. Things got off to a rough start for Marlow there, losing game one to North Rock Creek 7-1, but the Outlaws were able to take the next two games and secure their place in the state tournament.

Elk City vs Chickasha (4:00 p.m.)

Elk City (Last Appearance – 2023)

The Elks’ pitching staff has been nearly untouchable all postseason, throwing shutouts in all three games of their regional and game one of areas before finally giving up three runs in game two. That’s not to say their offense hasn’t done its part, it did to the tune of 57 runs over their five-game postseason run, including double-digit performances in three of five games.

Chickasha (Last Appearance – (5A) 2015)

Chickasha has mostly dominated their way through the postseason thus far, winning by five or more runs in each of their first four games. Game five was a little too close for comfort, with Bethany getting the tying run to third before a fly out to right ended the game and clinched a state tournament bid for Chickasha.

Newcastle vs Blanchard (6:30 p.m.)

Newcastle (Last Appearance – 2019)

Newcastle quietly put together an impressive season, finishing the year at 32-9.
