Edmond North

Record: 23-10 (12-2)

Over the past few seasons the Huskies have had one of the top district rotations in the state and nothing has changed in 2024. With a pair of senior Division One arms, Owen Hall and Pryce Bender, leading the charge on the mound, the Huskies find themselves squarely in the mix to make a state tournament run once again. The question again this year, is whether or not the bats will produce enough for the Huskies to make a deep run in the postseason. Being on the wrong end of a perfect game didn’t help their case, but there is more than enough talent in the lineup for North’s bats to get hot at the right time, and if they do this becomes one of the scariest teams in the state.

Westmoore

Record: 18-16 (10-4)

A brutal schedule has led to an overall record that misrepresents how talented this Jaguars team truly is. Their 10-4 record in district play does a better job telling the whole story of a team led by a strong core of seniors who will be fighting to make their way back to the state tournament after a disappointing showing in a first round exit last season. Westmoore stumbled a bit to end the year dropping five straight, but a deeper look shows two of those losses being in extra innings, and all five being against some of the top teams in the state. Still, the Jaguars will have to be able to put away top teams in close games if they want to make a run in the postseason, so they’ll be looking to play their best baseball in the postseason this year.

Putnam City

Record: 6-24 (4-10)

After a promising start to the season, the Pirates sputtered and haven’t been able to turn things around to get back in the win column. Other than a nice 13-3 victory over Capitol Hill, the Pirates went 0-15 in April, being outscored 5-202 in the process. The first half of the season proved the Pirates have the pieces to put together good enough performances to pick up some wins, so they’ll be looking to at least win one in this regional to take some positive momentum into the offseason.

Eisenhower

Record: 12-22 (2-12)

It’s been an up and down first season in 6A after making the leap from 5A this offseason for the Eagles, but there have been plenty of positives to take away from the season such as compiling a perfect 5-0 record against the other two Lawton high schools. The Eagles will hope to find some of the success the saw in the middle of the season, including an 8-2 stretch where the Eagles played their best ball of the season. Similarly to Putnam City, the Eagles will be looking to at least take one game this week to take some momentum into the offseason, and prove they can hold their own in Okahoma’s toughest classification.
