It is 89er Days time in Guthrie. It is where the City of Guthrie commemorates the Oklahoma land run of 1889 and the birth of the city of Guthrie.
Guthrie High School is doing their part as they host their annual Guthrie 89ers Tournament Thursday-Saturday. It is a traditional 8 team, double elimination bracket. (Let’s hope the weather/rain will hold off to let them get it complete.)
The field is a good mix of teams from different classes (from 6A-3A) plus the OKC Broncos (home school team) and a team from Liberal, KS.
