While there are several high school baseball tournaments each week around the state, there are a few that have rich histories where they are held in a little high regard. One of those tournaments is this week – the Bill Tipton Classic.

Hosted by Carl Albert High School, the tournament is in it’s 20th season. It has grown to a whopping 16 teams and is played at 3 different sites (Carl Albert, Shawnee HS, Midwest City HS).

The format is a 3 plus 1. Teams will play 3 scheduled games between Thursday and Friday then a placement game on Saturday which is dependent on how the teams did on Thursday and Friday.

Teams from all across the state are coming in this weekend and included teams from 2A all the way up to 6A.
