Season Outlook
Over the last few seasons, Redlands has been steadily making improvements on the field. They look to continue that trend in 2024.
The Cougars return 2 of their top run producers from 2023. Ben Huntley led the Cougars in RBIs in ’23 and will be a solid presence in the top to middle of the lineup. Ryan Sessions has some pop in his bat and looks to be more consistent this season.
Easton Ford and Easton Andrews are incoming freshmen who had solid fall seasons.
If their performance this past fall is any indication, this year’s Cougars will be more balanced and have more power in their lineup.
One thing the Cougars have had in the past is defense. That doesn’t look to change in ’24 as they back up what could be a deeper pitching staff.
Chris Lovell is the best returning starter from ’23. He missed the first part of ’23 due to injury, but when he got back he provided a stabilizing presence in the starting rotation (including a win at Murray State).
Cade Sims comes back from missing the ’23 season with injury and the lefty looks to be at the top of the rotation.
Cam White had a solid fall season and looks to get back to form in ’24.
If the Cougars can put everything together, they have the talent to challenge for a spot in the Region Tournament at the end of the season. Don’t be surprised if they do.
