The team that was the feel good story and won the heart of the college baseball world last season, Oral Robert have released their 2024 schedule.

Let’s take a look at the non conference part of the Golden Eagles’ schedule because, frankly, The Summit League is terrible and ORU should dominate it again.

ORU opens up the season at home with a 3 game series vs Evansville, Feb 16-18. The Aces play in the Missouri Valley Conference and were 37-24 last season and finished 2nd in the MVC conference tournament.

The next weekend sees the Golden Eagles host Southern Illinois Univ – Edwardsville. The Cougars are part of the Ohio Valley Conference and went 26-28 in 2023.

The mid week games for ORU in February are Missouri State on Tuesday, 2/20, and Wichita State on Wednesday, 2/28 and both are at home. ORU will face Missouri State at home again on April 9 and on the road on May 7. The return away game at Wichita State is April 17.

ORU hits the road for the first time March 1-3 and play their only series against a Power 5 team at Baylor. The Bears are coming off a disappointing season in 2023 where they didn’t even make the Big 12 Tournament.

Central Michigan comes to Tulsa for a 2 game set on March 5-6. CMU had a record of 34-23 last season garnering them 2nd place in the MAC standings.

Other mid week games include a home and home vs Oklahoma St on April 2nd (at OSU) and April 23 (at ORU). ORU’s home and home vs Oklahoma will be March 26 (at OU) and April 30 (at ORU). The Golden Eagles have a 3rd home and home scheduled vs Arkansas Little Rock March 19 (at UALR) and May 7 (at ORU).

Perhaps the biggest game on ORU’s schedule is March 12. The Golden Eagles travel to Fayetteville, AR to take on the Razorbacks. Arkansas is, as you probably know, one of the best programs going nationally right now.
