SSBR Games of the Week is now sponsored by Chris Cameron, Lippard Real Estate & Auctions. You can check him out at https://www.lippardauctions.com/chris-cameron-bio/ or facebook.com/CCameronAuctions.
The calendar has turned to March and that means the OSSAA baseball season is now in full swing.
All of the classifications are now open to start their seasons this week and that means we have an almost full slate of games this week.
One of the things we like to do at SSBR is highlight 5 games during the week that we think should have a special “focus” on them. They could be matchups of top teams in the same class, rivalries, or even teams that may not get the coverage other programs do.
There are a couple of caveats that we have regarding what games are “eligible” to be selected.
- They cannot be a District series game.
- They cannot be part of a festival or scheduled tournament game that we may be covering during the week.
Without further ado, here are the SSBR Games of the Week for Week 5.
*Rankings are SSBR Sweet Sixteen.

Dale Pirates (2A-1) vs OCA Eagles (2A-2)
Monday, April 6, 5:00 p.m.
Dale is currently the #1 team in Class 2A-1 according to the coaches. They got their season started a little late this year due to their school’s hoops team winning a state championship. All but one of their games have come against teams in classes above them and they are coming off an impressive 8-0 win over McAlester.
OCA has been on the cusp of breaking through into the upper echelons of their class. They are coming off an impressive weekend winning the OKC Invitational while outscoring their opponents 40-1.
Tushka Tigers (2A-2) vs Latta Panthers (2A-1)
Tuesday, April 7, 4:30 p.m.
It’s the 2nd time this season that Tushka is a SSBR GOTW. Their first one saw them defeat Colbert in a 1 run game. They started the season as #1 in the 2A-2 coaches poll, but have slipped to #3. Their record does not accurately reflect how good they are. Tushka has played a tough schedule. The Tigers had the same type of season in the Fall, but it was around this time they got hot and finished as runner up.
Latta comes into the week winners of 9 straight and boasting a 5th place ranking in last week’s coaches poll. The Panthers’ lone loss came to current SSBR #2 Marlow and they have wins over 5A’s Durant and McAlester, 4A’s Sulphur, and 2A-1 #4 Calera last week.
#11 Rattan Rams (A-2) vs #16 Lone Grove Longhorns (3A)
Tuesday, April 7, 5:30 p.m.
Games like this are ones that get us excited at SSBR. Not only is it 2 of our SSBR Sweet Sixteen teams, but it is a great interclass matchup.
Rattan is ranked #2 in A-2 from last week’s coaches poll and they are riding a 12 game winning streak to start the season. They have wins over Tahlihina, Tushka, Ft Cobb-Broxton, and 3A contender, Silo.
Lone Grove has only 1 loss to an Oklahoma team (Sulphur) and they avenged that loss this past week. The Longhorns look like a top 3A contender. Kudos to them for not only playing this game, but playing it on the road.
#7 Edmond Memorial Bulldogs vs Deer Creek Antlers
Thursday, April 9, 6:00 p.m.
This matchup is a rematch from a game where Deer Creek upset then #1 Memorial at the Enid Festival on Saturday.
In a back and forth game, Memorial took a 9-4 lead after the top of the 4th inning. Keagan Sckluzacek then shut down the Bulldogs’ bats over 5.2 innings allowing the Antlers to chip away and eventually walk it off in the bottom of the 9th on a Colton Seaman single.
(RV) Dewar Dragons (A-1) vs Ketchum Warriors (2A-2)
Friday, April 10, 4:30 p.m.
Dewar has quietly been having a stellar 2026 season after having one in 2025. The Dragons are ranked #2 by the coaches in A-1 as well as receiving votes in the SSBR Sweet Sixteen and look to be contender against Okarche. They are riding a 9 game winning streak coming into the week.
Ketchum is ranked #3 in 2A-2 by the coaches and currently have a 13-3 record. They are coming off a deep run in the 2A-2 state tournament in 2025. Two of their 3 losses have been by just 1 run this season.
