SSBR Games of the Week is now sponsored by Chris Cameron, Lippard Real Estate & Auctions. You can check him out at https://www.lippardauctions.com/chris-cameron-bio/ or facebook.com/CCameronAuctions.
The calendar has turned to March and that means the OSSAA baseball season is now in full swing.
All of the classifications are now open to start their seasons this week and that means we have an almost full slate of games this week.
One of the things we like to do at SSBR is highlight 5 games during the week that we think should have a special “focus” on them. They could be matchups of top teams in the same class, rivalries, or even teams that may not get the coverage other programs do.
There are a couple of caveats that we have regarding what games are “eligible” to be selected.
- They cannot be a District series game.
- They cannot be part of a festival or scheduled tournament game that we may be covering during the week.
Without further ado, here are the SSBR Games of the Week for Week 4.
*Rankings are SSBR Sweet Sixteen.

Wright City Lumberjax (A-1) vs Colbert Leopards (2A-1)
Monday, March 23, 5:30 p.m.
Over the last 2 school years, these 2 teams have been some of the best small school programs in the Southeast part of the state.
Wright City won both the Fall and Spring titles in the 2024-2025 school year and made the Fall State Tournament this year. The Lumberjax are off to an 11-1 start this season. The coaches have them ranked #2.
Colbert has emerged as a major player in the 2A ranks. The Leopards were semifinalists in the 2A-2 Class last year and the 2A Class this Fall. Colbert is also off to an 11-1 start.
Cashion Wildcats (2A-1) vs OCA Eagles (2A-2)
Monday, March 23, 5:00 p.m.
This is a matchup between an established elite program vs one who is making strides to get to that level.
Cashion is the defending 2A-1 State Champion. Getting off to a later start than most, the Wildcats are 4-1 on the season coming off a tournament win at the North Country Tournament in Tonkawa.
OK Christian Academy has made strides the last few years. A senior laden team they have come ever so close to making a state tournament. The coaches have them ranked at #6 in Class 2A-2.
#5 Okarche Warriors (A-1) vs Calumet Chieftains (B)
Thursday, March 24, 4:30 p.m.
Games like this is what gets high school baseball fans excited. Both of these teams are ranked #1 by the coaches in their respective classes and are coming off Fall State Championships this school year.
Okarche may be the most heavily favored team to win their classification this Spring. The Warriors won over 30 games in the Fall and return several top players that can play with anyone.
Calumet is heavily favored to win Class B. They finally got over the hump in the Fall and return several top players as well.
Norman Tigers (6A) vs Norman North Timberwolves (6A)
Thursday, March 26, 6:00 p.m.
Crosstown Clash. Two words that need no other explanation in Norman.
It’s safe to say that these 2 teams do not like each other. Records do not matter as there is not one regular season game that each player on each team would rather win.
Community Christian Royals (3A) vs #7 Washington Warriors (3A)
Friday, March 24, 5:00 p.m.
Community Christian has quietly built themselves into one of the better 3A programs in the State. The Mike Hinckley led program made the State Tournament for the first time in the program’s history in 2024 then followed that up with another State Tournament appearance last year. This year they are off to a 9-1 start this year with wins over Chickasha and Duncan with their lone loss a 1 run affair with Coweta.
While CCS is one of the better 3A programs, Washington is the standard. The Warriors have won 4 straight 3A State Championships and looked poised for another run in 2026. The Warriors are 12-2 so far in 2026 with wins over Choctaw, Blanchard, and Ft Cobb-Broxton.
