Over the last couple of years, SSBR has put a focus on teams traveling out of state on Spring Break. However, we’ve seen a few events in the Sooner State start to keep those teams in state over the week that are becoming big time events where several top teams from across the classes are playing.

One of those events starts Monday. The Southeast Shootout is hosted by Broken Bow and played across 7 different high schools – Broken Bow, Idabel, Valliant, Battiest, Hugo, Smithville, and Wright City.

The field this year has a state champ from 2025 (Duncan – 5A), a state runner up from 2025 (Marlow – 3A), and several other teams that made their respective state tournaments.

Let’s take a look at some of the better matchups over the 4 days of action.

*Make sure to check back often as we will update the scores as soon as we can.

Durant Lions (5A) vs Latta Panthers (2A-1)
Monday, 11:30 a.m. at Wright City

The Lions were a surprise team that made the Class 5A state tournament in 2025. So far in 2026, the Lions are 6-1 with their lone loss to a team from Texas. They’ve dominated District play winning their 4 games by a combined score of 67-3.

Latta has not played a game yet in 2026 due to their school’s basketball team making a deep run this season. The Panthers went 19-9 in the Fall and have made the last 2 Fall and Spring state tournaments.

Lexington Bulldogs (3A) vs Sallisaw Black Diamonds (4A)
Monday, 2:00 p.m. at Battiest

Lexington comes into the week riding a 7 game winning streak to start the season. This game will be a step up in competition for Lex.

That’s because the Black Diamonds are 5-0 themselves and are coming off a trip to the state tournament in 2025.

Lindsay Leopards (3A) vs Wright City Lumberjax (A-1)
Monday, 4:30 p.m. at Wright City

Lindsay has had a nice start to the season going 3-0. They won their 2 District games vs Dickson and picked up a nice 1 run win vs Sulphur. This week will be a step up in overall competition for the Leopards.

Wright City has gotten off to a 9-0 start on the 2026 season. The Jax won both the Class A and Class A-1 state championships in the 2024-2025 school year. A young team this year, they qualified for the state tournament in the Fall and are a state tournament contender this Spring.

Midwest City Bombers (5A) vs Jones Longhorns (3A)
Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. at Wright City

The Bombers look like they could be a sleeper to make the 5A state tournament this Spring. They are currently at 6-2 with a walk off loss to Guthrie in District play and a loss to 6A Ponca City.

Jones comes into the week at 5-2 dominating District play and a win vs OCS. Their 2 losses were of the 1 run variety to 6A Piedmont and Lincoln Christian.

Broken Bow Savages (4A) vs Coweta Tigers (5A)
Tuesday, 5:30 p.m. at Broken Bow

Broken Bow comes into the week sitting at 5-0. The Savages have dominated local rivals Idabel and Hugo and have a nice win over 2A-2 power Tushka.

The Tigers come in at 7-1 with their lone loss to 6A Sapulpa. Coweta has dominated their 5A foes up to this part.

CCS Royals (4A) vs Coweta (5A)
Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at Idabel

CCS comes into the week at 5-0 after picking up a good win over Chickasha in their last game. The Royals’ ace, Eli Williams, is a Texas A&M commit and is considered one of, if not the top pitcher in the state.

Marlow Outlaws (3A) vs Latta Panthers (2A-1)
Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. at Valliant

Marlow was the state runner up in 2025 and looks like one of the top contenders in 2026. They come into the week at 6-0 including 2 good wins at Moore and vs Westmoore in their last 2 games.

Hudson Morgan (OSU commit) is one of the top players in the 2026 class.

Dewar Dragons (A-1) vs Coweta Tigers (5A)

Dewar has been one of the top programs in Class A the last few years and look to be again in 2026. They’ve started the season 7-0 with wins over Oktaha and AmPo on their resume.
