The calendar has turned to the a new year and that means the OSSAA high school baseball season will be here soon. Classes A1, A2, and B officially get started February 23 while the rest of the classes begin March 2.

Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 season.

What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.

Today’s team: Fletcher Wildcats

Classification: A-1

2025 Spring Results: 23-14

2025 Fall Results: 14-15

Head Coach: Eric Garza

Head coaching experience: 2 years (1 at Fletcher)

Top Returners

  • Jake Dubois-SR, led the team in BA, RBI’s this fall and was a plus defender for us at first base.
  • Nathan Mahan-SR, looks to continue to improve and be a dominate force on the mound and in the heart of our order.
  • Rayce Stoll-SR, plus outfielder with speed to take away hits in center field.
  • Cameron Wilkerson-SR, looks to continue to and be that 1A starter for us.
  • Hayden Gaddis-FR SS and one of our top pitchers.
  • Zayden Dearing-SR, led the team in ERA last year, mostly in relief.
  • Seth Bradberry-Soph, pitcher with several quality wins in the fall.

Top Newcomers

  • Kasen Dennard-Soph infielder/pitcher transferred at break.
  • Easton Chinnow-Soph, working hard coming off of ankle surgery.

Overall Team Strengths

A mix of veterans who have started for multiple years and young talent in key positions. Depth in the rotation should allow us to be competitive in every game we play this spring.

Outlook

I am really excited about this team as we approach the spring season. I believe the athletes have responded well to the work and have full understanding of our expectations. We must continue to improve everyday and hopefully be in position for the opportunity to play in the State Tournament at the end of the season.
