The calendar has turned to the a new year and that means the OSSAA high school baseball season will be here soon. Classes A1, A2, and B officially get started February 23 while the rest of the classes begin March 2.
Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 season.
What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.

Classification: 6A
2025 Spring Results: 39-3 (State Runner Up)
Head Coach: Larry Turner
Head coaching experience: 43 years (all at Owasso)
Top Returners
- Joey Grabeal (JR); Returning starting C. Team leader from behind the plate
- Eli Enzbrenner (SR); Chandler-Gilbert commit; Returning starter at 2B. Very athletic infielder with above average speed
- Easton Hailey (SR); Crowder commit: 4 year starter at SS. Solid defensive SS who sets our tempo from the lead off spot
- Chris Zaferes (SR); Returning starter in LF. Had a breakout year last season. Looking to build off his success
- Kooper Ranallo (SR), ORU commit; Returning starter in CF as well as District starter on the mound. True 2 way player with huge upside.
- Colby Whiteman (JR); Returning starter in RF. Had a huge 2nd half last season. Looking to build off his experience.
- Benji Bauer (JR); Returning starter at DH and C. Middle of the lineup guy. One of our leading hitters from 2025.
- Brady Reed (SR), Easter OK State commit; One of our returning District starters on the mound. Will lean on Brady in several tough games this season.
- Laiton Dickerson (SR), Seminole State commit; Had a lot of success last year as an end of the week starter on the mound. Looking to expand on his success from last year.
Top Newcomers
- Cooper Leggett (SR), Wichita State commit; Hoping Cooper adds depth to our solid pitching staff this season.
Overall Team Strengths
- We have returned a lot of players from last year’s State Runner Up team. Our experience and leadership is something we will rely on heavily this year.
Overall Team Needs to Work On
- We will be looking for some guys to replace our 2 graduated All Staters from last year.
Outlook
We feel very confident in the abilities of this group of guys. They have a great chemistry and love playing the game! We’re excited to build off our experience from last year.
