The calendar has turned to the a new year and that means the OSSAA high school baseball season will be here soon. Classes A1, A2, and B officially get started February 23 while the rest of the classes begin March 2.
Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 season.
What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.

2025 Spring Results: 12-9
2025 Fall Results: 21-8 (State Quarterfinalist)
Head Coach: Nolan Henry
Head coaching experience: 5 years (all at Mill Creek)

Top Newcomers
- Preston Greenlee, SR; Out with injury in Fall. His returning makes us deeper in our pitching staff and experience on the field
Overall Team Strengths
Our defense if by far our biggest strength. We also have several pitchers in the rotation including a freshman, Blake Smith, who threw some big innings in the Fall playoffs for us.
Overall Team Needs to Work On
Our hitting has to become more consistent. We have some big bats in the lineup and a lot of speed. We just have to be able to hit when we have runners in scoring position. We left too many runners stranded in the Fall.
Outlook
Returning everyone from the Fall and then adding Greenlee back in our lineup really makes us stronger. After the confidence builder of being a contender in the state tournament in the Fall for the first time ever and getting that experience under our belts, really excites everyone here at Mill Creek. We will only get better as the season goes on.
