The calendar has turned to the a new year and that means the OSSAA high school baseball season will be here soon. Classes A1, A2, and B officially get started February 23 while the rest of the classes begin March 2.
Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 season.
What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.
Today’s team: Frontier Mustangs
Classification: B
2025 Spring Results: 12-13
2025 Fall Results: 12-14
Head Coach: Ricky Cramer
Head coaching experience: 2 years (all at Caddo)

Overall Team Strengths
Having the drive to win and want to get better everyday. We want to continue to improve and we are willing to play anyone and go compete.
Overall Team Needs to Work On
We need to continue to improve on development of the younger players. We would like to continue to improve on hitting, defense & Pitching. We want to be better than the season previously every year.
Outlook
We have been a .500 team the last couple seasons. We don’t play an easy schedule and we have high expectations for this spring. We think we can have a good year and be in a regional and compete in that regional.
