The calendar has turned to the a new year and that means the OSSAA high school baseball season will be here soon. Classes A1, A2, and B officially get started February 23 while the rest of the classes begin March 2.
Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 season.
What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.

Classification: 3A
2025 Spring Results: 25-11 (State Runner Up)
Head Coach: John Morgan
Head coaching experience: 27 years (11 at Marlow)
Top Returners
- Hudson Morgan Oklahoma State p/inf. 2way player that is a proven big game pitcher. Drawing draft interest.
- Wyatt Osborne. Sr. Of. Steadily improved, flashing power from left side
- Jaxon Murray jr of/p. Gritty, tough baseball player that outworks everyone around him. 3 yrs starters. Submarine arm angle will be really tough on righties
- Blake Ridley jr. inf/p. Really came on strong big 6’2 210 lb played very well defensively. Has massive power
- Clint Landon jr p/inf. 3yr starter spark plug of offense, continues to grow on the mound should be a guy that throws lots of innings
- Jake Pettit jr p/1b. Had a breakout soph yr, big strong kid. 6’2. 225.
- Jackson Miller jr c. 3yr starter at catcher 6’3. 230. Has massive power
- Clete Gilbert jr 1b. He’s the glue guy, finds ways to get it done, a winner who’s 6’2 335.
- Austin Harris. Jr p/utility. Talented guy that could be playing many positions on field. Still has untapped potential
- Zimmer Offolter so. P/of naturally blessed offensive guy had best fr offensive year I’ve had as a freshman 430 avg. walks, doesn’t strike out. Also very talented arm that returns
Top Newcomers
- Landry Turpin p/ utility. Fr. Could be a huge factor on mound and at plate
- Dayton Alaniz p/3b. Soph really came on last yr on mound big strong kid. Big upside
Overall Team Strengths
Veteran team, 9 guys back with 65 plate appearances under their belt. Should be able to score runs in different ways than we’ve had in the past
Overall Team Needs to Work On
Not being complacent, being hungry every practice.
Outlook
Excited, little nervous how we will come out of the gates with so many guys in 3 sports. They have always been eager to progress and catch up to speed by April
