Okarche had an unbelievable 2025 Fall season going 30-2 and winning their first state title in school history. With a team LOADED with seniors, the Warriors look to run it back this Spring. Okarche’s head coach, Ryan Beaman, had a lot to say about these two leaders…
Easton Roby, IF/RHP (2026) – Cowley College Commit
Coach Beaman’s Thoughts:
“Easton is a fantastic student athlete here at Okarche. He has been a tremendous asset for us. His drive and character that he displays day in and day out is hard to match. Easton has been a four year starter for us playing multiple positions and being one of our top tier guys on the mound. His stats have been impressive from one year to the next but his ultimate goal is to always have team success. Easton does a great job of leading by example on and off the field. He works extremely hard both in practice and on his own time. He has spent countless hours fine tuning his craft trying to become the best version of himself. Easton’s character on and off the field is fantastic. He represents himself and his team extremely well and plays the game the right way with intensity and a love for the game of baseball. Easton has become an incredible role model for so many of our younger student athletes coming up and I am extremely excited to follow him and watch him grow through the next chapters of his baseball journey.”
Easton’s Interview:
- Tell me about yourself on & off the field. -> “Baseball is my passion and I spend most of my time doing it. My dad has always been a big part of helping me become the best player I can be. I also like to hunt, play basketball, and help out in the Okarche community!”
- How do you feel heading into this season compared to last year? -> “I’m so excited for this year not only because it is the last time I’ll be able to play with all my buddies but also because we are defending champs. I feel confident this year because I know what me and the guys are capable of.”
- What personal goals have you set for yourself? -> “I have set many goals for myself in baseball like get stronger and have a .500 batting average. But I take more pride in the goals around academics and community goals. I have had straight A’s all throughout school and I always make sure to say hi to the elementary kids every time I see them.”
- What does a successful season look like for you? -> “Of course a successful season means winning state and it also means showing up everyday ready to work. Having a group of seniors that are bought in and ready to do our best one more time.”
- What’s the biggest challenge you expect this season? -> “The biggest challenge I believe we will face is complacency. Okarche has many hard working guys but with the success we have had in years past we have to come to practice everyday to get better.”
- What do you want to be remembered for as a player at Okarche? -> “I want to be remembered for the way I played. I want people to show up to the games and notice how hard I play and how I do the little things the right way. Second I want to be remembered as the guy that was always in the cages putting in the extra work no matter how I was playing. It says so much about your character with what you do when no one is watching.”
Luke Hill, SS/RHP (2026) – Western Oklahoma State College Commit
Coach Beaman’s Thoughts:
“Luke has been a tremendous student athlete for us here at Okarche and exemplifies the kind of character and work ethic that is needed to be successful. Luke has started here for us the last three years and has played multiple positions when called on. He has also been one of our top tier guys on the mound which has helped us be extremely successful. Luke plays the game with intensity and strives to be at his best day in and day out. His stats have been impressive from one season to next but knows that team success is the main goal for the group every year. Luke works extremely hard during practice and does a fantastic job of always putting focus on the details of his game. He works countless hours on his own and it shows when he steps on the field. I feel like Luke does a tremendous job of leading by example for our younger generations which speaks volumes to his character both on and off the field. I am excited to follow Luke and see him continue to grow in the next chapters of his baseball journey.”
Luke’s Interview:
- Tell me about yourself on & off the field. -> “On and off the field I try to lead by example. I want to make my teammates and friends better by striving to be the best person I can be.”
- How do you feel heading into this season compared to last year? -> “I feel really good about heading into the season. We kept getting beat in the Semis but we finally got over the hump so now I feel like we will just be able to play free. That will allow us to play to the best of our ability.”
- What personal goals have you set for yourself? -> “My personal goals were to play college baseball and I am signed to go play. I really just want to have fun playing with my guys one last time and win state again.”
- What does a successful season look like for you? -> “A successful season to me is us playing to the best of our ability game in and game out. If we get beat but we did what we could do then it just happens sometimes, but I don’t want us to beat ourselves ever.”
- What’s the biggest challenge you expect this season? -> “I think our biggest challenge will be pushing each other to get better every day in practice and not being satisfied with what we did in the fall.”
- What do you want to be remembered for as a player at Okarche? -> “I want to be remembered as a great teammate who made others better just by being here.”
