The calendar has turned to the a new year and that means the OSSAA high school baseball season will be here soon. Classes A1, A2, and B officially get started February 23 while the rest of the classes begin March 2.

Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 season.

What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.

2025 Spring Results: 3-16

2025 Fall Results: 4-15

Head Coach: Todd Stingley

Head coaching experience: 6 years (1st at Cimarron)

Rhett Stingley – signed to play at Randall University
Anthony Montano – signed to play at Randall University

Peyton Johnson.

Top Newcomers

Kyler Patterson is going to be a good player in the future for us. Started every game in the fall season as a sophomore.

Overall Team Strengths

Very good hitting team. Had 5 players in the fall batting over .300. Scored a lot of runs as a team.

Overall Team Needs to Work On

Defense. 3 players with double digit errors on the season.

Outlook

We will be a much better team this spring than we were in the fall. My first year at Cimarron has been rocky for them adjusting to position changes, and adjusting to me. 2 big time players coming back for their senior season, Rhett Stingley and Anthony Montano will be a huge impact for the spring season. A cast of returning players will be very beneficial for our success. This team believes we will be very competitive to compete for a district championship.
